Sony is an anagram of noys which sounds like noise. It's a loud machine, and people don't like this.

It will surely fail.

The chairman requested I post a report on the events of the evening - his contribution won't take long !
The bait fish have arrived, no problem. It took special skill to isolate the launce from amongst all the herring and mackerel though.
Other speices caught, Callig, Coalie, Ling, Codling, Cuckoo, Pouting, Whiting, Dog, Tub Gurnard.
Most left it late to try and make an impression, but the ultimate tally not bad.
Dave 'the tangler'Ogden winner of the roll over with a last gasp Callig for 7 spieces.
Still no fish over 5 lb for the largest of the night.

It's definitely not as loud as the Dreamcast and it only seems noisy when watching DVD's (during quiet moments of course).

The muppet only posted it to get people annoyed - a slow start for PS2 but with the next couple of months having about 3 or 4 MUST HAVE games it's not likely to be failing!

PS2 noisy?

well the old CD PS2 games were loud but when you've got a subwoofer pumping 8 speakers I don't notice it them let alone the fan. not as loud as the dreamcast ;-)

and why does everyone keep saying the PS2 "will" fail, It's almost been out a year and is it failing? nope :-)

I agree, the PS2's advanced cooling system does indeed produce a significant amount of noise.

It's not a problem whilst playing games but during DVD watching it can be intrusive.

My PS2 is actually stored in a glass fronted cabinet so it's barely noticeable now.

There you go - now it's a serious post rather than some dumb comment.

I dunno... I come in here, hackles raised, blood boiling in my veins, eyes ablaze with fury, ready to slap down another feeble dig at the PS2, and...

...this!

Well, at least I can see the funny side!
