No news of dispatch on Wednesday.
No news of dispatch on Thursday.
Late Friday (7:49pm), I get an e-mail - "Blah blah blah... your item has been dispatched... blah blah blah... Parcel Force... blah blah blah... 1-2 business days..."
In other words, I won't get it until Monday or, probably, Tuesday.
Now why the hell can't they deliver tomorrow? Oh, they can, but only at extra cost.
If I go into town tomorrow, every store will be open, doing business.
Surely, then, Saturday is a business day?
Royal Mail deliver on Saturdays at no extra cost. Why can't courier services?
And these days, you could probably say the same about Sunday too.
The way people shop is changing rapidly, and with websites being available 24/7, I think it's about time the various postal services caught up. We need services that deliver 7 days a week.
You'd have thought someone would have caught on to the fact that there's a hole in the courier market just begging to be filled.

What has this got to do with SR?

*worries*
Yay!
I should have got Red Faction 2 and Splinter Cell in the post yesterday, now i've gotta wait till early next week to get them.
People go out on Saturdays and Sundays, they play sport and socialise.
Everyone I know who has a 9-5 job in the city stops at the weekend.
I think the point is that online shopping in the UK is hit and miss because we're still tied to the notion that there are five working days a week, whereas elsewhere in the world it's seven, hence better service online and faster delivery.
