This bothers loads of people. Many games exclusively released on a console induces gloating by the owners, and then if it gets out to another console the retaliation begins, especially if the game is rebuilt for the machine not just a straight port like it was with Resident Evil on the DC. The DC guys were full of "Ha! We got Res!" and then it came to the PS2 with better graphics and game inprovements and the PS2 guys were "Ha! Who's laughing now!".
My personal opinion is that if a game originally exclusive to the PS2 gets released on other formats, like SSX Tricky, all it means is that when it gets out, more people can enjoy a great game, I have more people to beat, EA makes more money and ploughs it into the next game, and we all win. If a game on another machine is released on mine (X-Box, Malice), then although I don't get to play it for a year, I'll get it in the end. Likely, the re-release would be optimised for the current tech level, with improved graphics, the publisher makes more cash and considers more multi console releases, and we all win again! Double Bonus!
If it all means that everyone gets more games, then wheres the complaint? I bet there are just as many people happy about being able to play SSX Tricky on the X-Box as there is PS2 owners happy about Malice. I bet noone is upset that all the DC classics are coming out on everyones machine, and I bet Sega are making a shed-load out of it!
Multi format games great for everyone involved in gaming, and if you have to have all the latest games, you'll have to get all the consoles. But I don't mind waiting that 12 months, theres plenty of other games to keep me occupied in the meantime....

You can't get much more foolish than you, Mr Nice Guy.
Also, it's a suicidal attempt at trying to carry across your point of view on the way Nintendo make games. They are probably the best games developers in the world.
Oh, and would I be rubbing it in a bit if I was to say that PC gaming well and truly sucks?
SHOCKY

Do you think that they will make another one, even if they do make loads from MGS2.

But as I said in the original post, this isnt a bad thing, they will make more cash, and plough it into the next game they make.

There is no official news, though the MGS exclusivity with sony is only for 12 months, so it might yet happen.
Can't remember where I saw that though...
Someone hasn't been looking at the list of PS2 games scheduled for release again...:D
Not much point when you're getting the most powerful computer availible, just think of the possibilities. The games that could be played on optimal. No longer would I have to look at the minimum requirements, I would have the world at my feet. Well perhaps not, but I'd still be able to play any game I wanted on it.
A while ago I bought Operation Flashpoint when it was first released, actually my first buy from SR. It came and it didn't work, being the nice man I am and not wanting to cause any trouble I didn't send it back and kept it. Just a matter of time before I can use it again.
*Realises that had nothing to do with the topic and runs*
So for Rouge Leader 2, I will go for Starfighter on the PS2.
For Perfect Dark Zero, I will opt for the one of the class FPS available or becoming available for the PS2, namely: Red Faction, Half Life, Medal of Honour, Soldier of Fortune, the list goes on.
While some of these games may not be as good, they are good alternatives. So instead of splashing out on a completley new console, I'll just get an alternative game instead.
Probably won't stop me from getting a Gamecube anyway though.
The thing is... most people don't care...
...personally I thought MGS was crap... the views were rubbish and the graphics were grap on PSX... Mario 64 on the other hand was cool... but I suppose it's all down to preferance...
There are 4 PS2 games I want:
Spyhunter
Legends of Wrestling
Extreme G 3
Simpsons Roadrage
And guess how many of these are coming to Gamecube - all of them! God Bless EA and THQ - Woo!
Exclusives don't bother me... because I know that as much as one of few Ninties want GT3 and MGS2, so many people with PS2's want Melee, Rare Games, Mario, Zelda and PIKMIN! - Not to mention Rogue Leader!
Exclusives are what keep Nintendo alive... those and PokÈmon, the GBA and their greatness!
