Not in a rush to order, so im open to all suggestions.

Sudden Strike is a good strategy game, very challenging but very hard.

For strategy gaming I'd recommend, Shogun/Medieval: Total War which aren't based on any modern conflict but a fine strategy games as is Warcraft 3 which was one of the finer strategy releases of the past year, and one I highly recommend.

Rise of Nations also looks good and has been getting allot of a good reviews. I haven't got the game myself (I don't even know if it's released over here yet) but it's basically a strategy game which charts 6,000 years of human history through 18 civilizations, with plenty of fighting and micro-management along the way. Much like Empire Earth only not as crap. Sounds pretty good, I think there's a demo already our so I'll try it myself.

As for modern conflict, well World War 2: Frontline Command is a good place to start, much like Sudden Strike only it looks a alot better and isn't quite so difficult, another I'd recommend is Ground Control which is on budget now. Set in the future, but it's one fine piece of strategy gaming and well worth the £5 budget price. There's also C&C: Generals, I haven't got it myself due to some people I know telling me it doesn't really play very differently from previous C&C games, not what I'd put on the top of my list anyway.

Plenty to choose from their, and there are plenty more besides which I haven't tried yet, Your bound to find that one of those games will suit your taste, if not all.

Pentium 4 2.6GHz

512 Ram

Mobility Radeon 9000 64mb Graphics card.

If that helps with the suggestions...

C&C Generals is good, if you have the specs.
