If you feel that you have to smoke, wear the right clothes or drive a "cool" car to be cool, then you are definitely not cool.

Cool people are just cool. Its not because of what they do, they simply are cool. They make whatever they are doing look cool, such as smoking, then idiots like whoever started this thread assume that if they smoke then they will also be cool. Sorry but you're wrong, and also, you're not cool.

It'll be interesting to see what the smoking ban does with regards to people quitting.

When I was in Dublin I thought there would be loads of people gathered round doorways smoking but there was just the odd one or two, even at night round the pubs.

One thing I didn't like in Singapore, was the cig packets. Instead of those pointless "THIS WILL KILL YOU" on the front, they had large photos of all the horrible things smoking and cancer can do to your body.

I couldnt stand to look at them and I couldnt imagine anyone buying them. I think if they did this in the UK, millions would quit overnight.

I couldn't care less if you were smoking or not. Although many of the health warnings on ads would suggest that it isn't very cool. Especially if you're a male (smaller wang caused from smoking). although one must wonder whether voluntary killing yourself is cool.

In the 50's 60's times smoking did make you look cool as it was portrayed that way in the media with pictures of famous actors and actresses splashed all over the place and in movies that deliberatley brought your attention to the fact that they were smoking.

Nowadays some people still have the view it's cool but they're in a minority now and I for one don't think it's cool.

Smoking makes you look slightly cooler in that it means you're doing something, you're 'occupied', rather than just standing around like a vagrant who lost his big issues. (Maybe selling big issues would be a good alternative to smoking - something to keep the hands busy...)

However, only retards will consciously judge you cooler for smoking.
If you want to appeal to peoples' subconscious estimation of you, you can get better returns addressing other aspects of yourself. If you seem like a gimp without a cigarette, you'll still seem like a gimp when you're smoking.
