This was pointed out to me the other day. I hate to admit it but what ever happened to the decent games we were promised? Bouncer for one. It came out and we all agreed that it was as pooy as the days before loo paper. Crazy Taxi. OK, some liked it but personally, where was the point? Lets pick people up and drop them off . . . NO Let us mow them all down!!! We finally came to a peak in Gran Turismo 3, but it system can't live on that all its life. We get promised all the graphics and stuff but so few games seem to use them. From what I've seen, The Simpsons: Road Rage, is set to be good. OK, exactly like Crazy Taxi but surly funny. But what happened to the power of the PS2? The 3rd place? Those sketchy polygons seemed more at home on a SNES than a new generation console.

We all read about the games in the pipeline. Smackdown 3, Tony Hawks 3, Final Fantasy X, hang on. Maybe theres something wrong with all of this. Where are the original games? Why are we being fobbed off by re-makes that may be as bad as the layer of filth sitting on top of your Sega Saturn. Are these people stupid? Sequals are great, and I'll be buying the 3 above. But why don't they show us a new, fantastic game that will really shock the unbelivers like a famous fiolm star turning gay over night. A new game trying to spin the world.

Come on people, we want some decent games!!

Who cares about originality when you have MGS2, Smackdown 3 etc. By the way, these are original in themself, new story, brand new format etc.

PS2 is the king.

Most sequels have something original that makes them different to the original for example FFX has an original storyline that sets it apart from the rest.

I am afraid to say that most of the original ideas have been used up.

Anyways, who needs original when the games that are coming out are going to be this good. Smackdown 3 is going to be brilliant, Devil May Cry will be just as good, and there are tonnes more of brilliant games besides.

What are you talking about?

i ain't too bothered whether the games original or has 145 in front of it as long as it's good. metal gear solid 2's not original but it's one hell of a game. i'd much rather have a great sequel game than a mediocre original game
