WHy do we always look forwards? Trying to see what the future holds in the world of gaming. Why do we do it? If you think about it, it makes no sense.....why begin to want a new game when there are plenty of classics out already.
Were living in the future.......reality is the present and we have to remember that. I constantly hear people talking about the direction online gaming is going and I think, "Why bother? Whatever happens is going to happen so you will have to take it as it is when it arrives anyway". Counter Strike, Tactical Operations, Unreal Tournament and Red Alert 2 are all online games......big fan bases as well. These are the people I like. They don't spend their time wondering whats coming next, they get out there and play the games they love.
Of course, this completely kills the purpose of the FOG (FUTURE of gaming) as a place to talk about what is coming next. If it was up to me it owuld be a place mainly to speak about the present and what we have right here, right now. However I know this isn't going to happen so I will shut up now.
The reason of this topic? I wrote this (patheticaly) short topic to get the fact that we shouldn't always be thinking ahead...sometimes we have to bite the bullet and do what the present hands us.

Ah, thats a bit below the belt Robin....especially since I > am a Ninty.
Ever been in the Nintendo Forum Val][-][allA-Recoil?

Nope. You have to buy either a modem or broadband addon for it.
I can't wait for the GameCube because of the list of games, the superior power and the all-round style of it. IT's going to be the best year of gaming ever, with the GameCube about.
SHOCKY
So, I say again, it's a sad fact that all Nintys can do is look ahead. I know several people here who have gone so far as to (shock) buy a PS2!
Anyway, let's all pity the Xbox owner, who can only access the Internet through broadband, many of which won't have access. Muahahahha.

Ah, thats a bit below the belt Robin....especially since I am a Ninty. We may have to look forward, but I have found a safe alcove to huddle in until the time of awakening comes. This alcove I like to call Tactical Operations.
