Hi all, this topic is going to be for all the games (I can't have the whole competition in the topic "SR world Cup 3- Team Selection" can I?)
The competition will start off tomorrow with the first games of group 1 and 2 and we'll go from there, the groups are:-

The first round of matches have been played and there were a few shock results.
Group A
Denmark 3-2 Spain
(Vamp) (Triple_H)
This was a good victory for Denmark who now look odds on to qualify
Senegal 2-1 South Africa
(AgentFrodo) (Tom)
Another good victory in Group A with senegal winning. I still don't think Senegal will qualify but if they draw with Spain, i will be proven wrong
Group B
Tunisia 1-0 Poland
(Lucio) (Blank)
This was yet another shock result. A draw in their next game could put them through
Ireland 1-3 Italy

A win for Italy was expected but not in such fashion. Ireland may look out of it but they still have two winnable games
Group C
England 2-1 Uruguay
(Mandatare) (El Natbuc)
I call this revenge for last years Korea-Ecuador game. :) Of course, they went on to win it so no complaints. Anyway, 1-0 at half-time, it felt good to come back and win it. This leaves me favorites to win the group.
Russia 1-0 Sweden
(Pro Evo) (Reynolds)
A good win for Russia which should leave their match with England a decider for qualification.
Group D
Saudi Arabia 0-1 Mexico
(Figo) (KR)
A win that was expected but only 1-0 against possibly the worst team in the competition.
Slovenia 0-0 Brazil
(El Juicy) (Spikecast)
One of the big shocks of the round. A good point for slovenia but brazil can still easily qualify.
Group E
Ecuador 2-1 France
(Aliboy) (sdrawkcab)
Another of the big shocks. Holders Ecuador show why they are the holders by beating france 2-1.
Nigeria (Cid Vilante) 2-0 USA (lalakersrule)
A good result for Nigeria who may only need a point from their next game to qualify.
Group F
Costa Rica 2-3 Argentina

Expected result but fair play to Costa Rica who took it to them.
South Korea 0-1 Belgium

Another expected victory, shame about my Korea :(
Group G
Paraguay 1-0 Turkey

Not really a shock but a good result never the less. Paraguay have easily qualified now

Good result for Croatia and a point against Turkey could help them qualify

I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU ALL! Cameroon have pulled off a shock victory and look favorite to win the group. I TOLD YOU ALL!
