Naturally the PSP isn't due out for a while, and by then we'd have all heared about the GBA 2 (or whatever silly name Nintendo can think of). But like with the Gamecube, it is important Nintendo begin to lay the foundations. We can't rely on the GBA2 smashing the PSP out of the water, The big N need to make sure so much ground has been taken with the GBA so odds are on them winning. Same with the Gamecube, Nintendo need to try and widen their appeal at least a bit so the chances are increased of a very successful run next time round.

But with ports of old SNES games what's the likliehood of the GBA doing that? Well thanks to an excellent E3 I'd say rather high.

1: Boktai: Possibly one of the coolest idea for years, could take off like Pokemon and at least gather a decent fan base.

2: Metroid

Despite dissapointing sales of Fusion, Nintendo are content on making the 2D third person adventuring a GB partner. Prime is very much the 3D games whilst traditional metroid gameplay lives on. Nice idea Nintendo.

3: Advance Wars and Golden Sun

Again are gathering rather large cult followings, Advance Wars is becoming bigger and bigger whilst Golden Sun is a premier GBA title.

4: Wario Ware inc.

THIS IS WHERE IT IS AT! Advance Wars, Golden Sun, Zelda, Metroid etc... are all well and good but lets face it... portable gaming is for small, addictive and quick play fun. Tetris did it, even the first Mario land did it... and now Wario Ware could become the nations favourite car journey game.

Believe it or not Nintendo have developed some proper handheld titles for the future. Whereas Pokemon and Tetris were the titles from the older GBA games it is Advance Wars, Golden Sun, Metroid and possibly Wario Ware that will launch the next GBA with some stella exclusives.

We just need more of them Nintendo... keep the Mario and Donkey Kong and Mario and Luigi games coming.

Here's to the future.

Dringo.

It could be a PSP selling point. So Nintendo should try get Rockstar exclusive on handhelds. Take out the competition.

Meaning it'll cost £250 when gamers could opt for a GBA 2 and Nintendo GameCube 2 for the same price.

:-D

Nah, maybe it won't win in sales. But gamers these days are more often than not, blind. It's Sony vs Nintendo. Who is the public going to go for? Hmmm.
