Upon my travels on work experience this week I met a computer game artist. Believe me this was one experience I wont forget. As I was setting out to install a new ADSL line. I had to venture into his room. Well it was quite a surprise to say the least. 62 empty beer bottles were scattered around the room. Along with 23 empty cigarette boxes. The game project was Street fighter 3 for the Gameboy advance. This version was very pre-release as it is not out in Japan for a month or so yet. The game was very good but the effort put into it only as the game artist was astounding. 80 hours a week he had to struggle through of designing the game from a low spec PC. Not quite what many people would expect as a dream job at all. The game project was postponed from July and is still in production. So those of you who now go around complaining about the late release of games here is your reason! I certainly think this man should be given respect for what he has done for the gaming industry. Ladies and gentlemen please, pay your respects.

You really wouldn't want to be a games tester? are you mad? it's just like when you get a brand new game, I think I could play games all day, just think, if it's a four player ganme, you'd get your collegues to play aswell! that would be excellent! you wouldn't be playing the games all day anyway, you'd have to write about them n stuff.

"Thankyou for accepting the job, Mr Bodgemeister. Here is your contract..."

"80 hours a week?!?! Are you joking?"

"Ahh, but we will give you 60 empty bottles too..."

"Oh, well if that's the case I'll sign..."

I played Zelda Ocarina o' time for 20 hours non stop, I could have played longer but I ran out of game!

This wasn't very healthy though, as I spent the next 4 days ill in bed.

Still, a measely 9 hours would be a doddle!

I played on ISS Pro Evolution for 15 hours straight on the first day I got it, I was on it til 5:30 in the morning and the only reason I stopped playing on it was because I had to go do a paper round. I then finished it came back an carried on. But the neck ache though. Damn.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
