I have heard (from a good source) that the game will out really soon (ahead of the announced release date) in Japan, don't suppose anyone else has heard/read anything ? The game is obviously complete and probably in production as we speak !

Also I couldn't find it on lik-sang or play-asia.com any idea's why ?

Also on the version playable at E3 there was not Jump button/feature so I assum it wasn't a finished version or that shock horror jump is not in the GC version

Release dates are supposed to be: Japan Sept 2003, USA 07.10.2003, Europe Nov 2003.

But rumours are that Jap release will be way before September, I know it took ages to see screenshots etc but I have no worries about quality of this game. He says with very high hopes, couple of people who have seen it running live say it is noticeably slower than the GBA Mario Kart game but it's not a bad point.

Nintendo finished it, showed it, heard criticism, fixing the small problems, due out for a big christmas release.

Easy.

A christmas release makes sense: this is a 'console shifter'. But as I say Nintendo are apparently 'fine-tuning' the gameplay. I can't believe you can't keep an item behind you for defence anymore! Still apparently their putting a new 'defencive dodge' in to compensate and good old 64 skidding might make an appearance too.

I got confused about this. The latest SR mag I have (matrix one) said it would be out in august. But now SR's site says it's out in nov/dec so I guess it is now nov/dec for Mario Kart.

IGN said Nintendo were adding a few more things from the old Mario Kart 64 that people wanted back in.
