Oh i am getting annoyed at seeing this now.
A few days ago i found that Advance Wars had been "indefinatly cancelled" due to events in America today i went on the x-fire website to find this:-
"We regret to announce that we have decided, with the on-going conflict in Afghanistan, that it is not the best time for viewers to enjoy the X-Fire series. Subsequently the show transmitted on October 23rd will be the last shown from the present series, and the Xfire SMS game will not be released at this time either. However both show and game will return in the new year."
This is getting a bit silly now with so many things being cancelled.
Yes i know about what happened in america but why cancel so much?
It is so frustrating!

Normally, I delete the bits of the message I'm quoting which I deem irrelevent to the point - but all of that is entirely pertinent.
I was surprised by some of the responses. I was expecting either "No, we shouldn't change AT ALL", or "What, don't you care? Show some respect, man!". I got neither, and what you just wrote, Wookiee (note spelling), pretty much sums up my feelings exactly. If I don't show emotion, it's not necessarily because I don't care.
People can grieve without making overt changes specifically designed to say 'Look at us - we care! Aren't we great?'. We held a minute's silence and one of my mates came in wearing a mourning band around his arm. It wasn't because he was really upset, it was because he wanted to LOOK like he was really upset. The society we live in has created this kind of mentality and I can only assume that this has what's led Channel 4 to cancel X-Fire. I can't see them doing it because it might upset some people, because frankly, anyone who is is way too sensitive and needs serious councelling.
And if you think that sounds ruthless, then think again.
Yes any game using the world trade centre should be withdrawn but X-Fire is just a bit of fun.
im most annoyed about advance wars.

A very good point, and I tend to think that we shouldn't let it affect 'normal' life.
I can understand why films and games with direct connections to the WTC are put on hold, and I'm all for showing the due respect. And while we do have to be extremely vigilant at the present time, it does feel more and more like the terrorists are "winning" - by causing people to change the way they live their lives, the things they do and the way in which they do them.
Personally, while I have been quite deeply moved by the events of 11th September, I absolutely refuse to change the way I live my life because of it.
And I do feel that there are some changes being made that are quite petty; this is just one of them. Maybe it's just me, but the goings-on in Afghanistan are the last thing I think about when I'm watching X-fire. People in bright orange overalls firing bright green paint at each other; it may be a wargame, but it's hardly realistic, is it?
then they would know wether stuff should be cancelled.
That is, are we, by doing things differently, only giving in to and therefore encouraging the terrorists? And so should we not change absolutely anything at all?
Before this post gets a load of abuse I'd just like to say that I only put that because it raises an interesting point. My own views I prefer to keep until I see how others respond; either way I think you might well find them different to expectations.
Why the hell
