I use irony a lot as well. It was just stupid. See macaroni is my favourite food ever. I have had it in like 15 countries. But couldn't in the US because of an someone who couldn't make up a menu.
Have you noticed that humour here is different than from across the pond? Ever so slightly, but still different.
