i thaught i would look for you guys, anyone going to bid?
when you play it you can see and feel a lot of pertential in the game, and you know that when its released it will be so amazing. but the demo is really anything new. its just got the basic matches, but when you play the full game, with up to 9 wrestlers, story mode and all the over great features it will be amazing.
another thing that i like, but can get annoying is that you have a ref all the time. in tag matches your partner can come in when they like instead of only when someones being pinned like in the other sd games. but if the ref comes up to you when your not aloud in the ring he starts talking, pointing and pushing. this is a nice feature when your oponent is trying to pin your partner as the ref cant see whats happening and doesnt count.but it gets annoying when your trying to help your partner when he is being double teamed or when your trying to pin someone and the ref is being destracted.
i have not played yet today, so im going to have a match ore 2 soon.
anymore questions?
I have been desperate to try it out for ages and have looked at the reviews, sites etc to get the latest news.
I am new to PS2 as I only recently retired my Nintendo 64 for the DVD delights of the PS2. I am used to THQ wrestling games like Wrestlemania 2000 and No Mercy which were class playability wise but lacked a little in visuals.
My observation are as follows.
There are some dodgy links between moves like when you do the peoples elbow at the side of the ring but the action jumps immediately to the centre. Also some moves do not flow into each other and it appears that it is like the join between two motion captures.
Trying to set off your finishing move is difficult if the move isnt from the front as you need to stun your opponent and get round the back (example Angle Slam) before he recovers. The stun only lasts a few moments so it is very irratating.
The arena & ring is very bland at present and it would be intersting to know at what stage of development this demo was taken at. The reviews in magazines look much better than this demo.
Stone Cold looks pretty poor compared to real life so hopefully they might make him more menacing before the final games release but I doubt it.
I could go on for ages about minor niggles but it wouldnt be fair as it is unclear as to how advanced the demo is in terms of the finished product. Hopefully the magazine demos will give a better overall impression. At present this was my most eagerly awaited definite buys in the comming month ( with GTA3, Pro Evo Soccer, SSX tricky and Agent Under Fire) but the demo has definately taken the shine of it. I will probably still buy it anyway but will wait for the real thing wiith some trepadation.
Fanx
i havnt heard them boo yet
and you cant have interference switched on in the demo :(
