I mean, I bought mine ages ago, played ISS and Tony Hawks for about 10 minutes and then left it to rot under my bed forever. Are there actually any good games? Don't say "Pikmin on Gaycube", or I'll grind your bones and crush your skulls. I had a Tamagotchi - I don't need another over-priced cyberpet, thankyou very much.

And as for Zelda - I don't like the cel-shaded look. It looks like a bad acid trip.

The GBA isn't cack if you have Mario Kart, Advance Wars, Donkey Kong Country, Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire and Super Monkey Ball Jr.

But it doens't take long to scan an enemy once, you don't even have to read it.

The animals add a record to the log book though and I want to have a full log book by the time I come to the end.

I scan pretty much everything, because I love the game so much.

I don't usually bother with the lab computers, because they're usually a load of figures about phazon intake and expansive muscle growth or something, things that mean absolutely nothing to anyone who isn't a space pirate scientist.

But I always do all the animals and flowers etc.

I scan all the Orange areas and actually read them. I only found out a few days after getting the game but it kind of adds to the experience. Might stop reading all the orange ones soon though as it is becoming incredably tedious.

Erm...

Not too sure. I have passed through Phendrana (sp?) Drifts to get to a control centre but I don't think I have gotten to that bit yet. I will end up going back over that area anyway because I have just hit a point where I don't know where to go.

People are stupid about the scanning.

It's very, very simple. You enter a room, you put the scan visor on. Then quickly wave your viewpoint around the room.

Anything important, anything that registers has a big RED square, you can them and carry on. Anything with a big ORANGE square you can leave. People don't seem to understand this primary school concept and scan absolutely every single thing, and then complain about it.

I love the scanning, and if you do it properly it's superb. Done properly, all you do is scan enemies the first time you meet them (which is excellent in itself as you get to learn about a whole world that's been created), and the logs/lore that reveal the storyline.

Simple, and perfect.

Have you got to the bit where you fight the space pirates with the thermal visor on in Phendrana drifts?

If you haven't, don't judge the game till you get to that bit. Tis one of the best bits in any game i've ever played.

Started of well and then it got a bit boring. Then I picked up some Morph ball upgrades and it got a LOT better and recently I have just found the 8 pillars and then I stopped. I am one of those people who loves to do everything a game has to offer and thus far I don't think I have missed one item for scanning. I think this has spoilt some of my enjoyment as I just seem to enter a room and spend most of my time looking for secret scan areas.
