Just started playing the game again and I just want to know why has Ruto been replaced with Laruto and the legend that was Saria been replaced by this kokiri bloke?

What happened to the original Sages? Is this a story we don't know about?

I saw them on the stain glass window in Hyrule castle.

So why is the Kokiri chick Saria replaced by this frudo bloke... sure he seems nice enough.

But I want Cel-shaded Saria dammit!

Just because the Kokiri don't age, it doesn't mean they don't die.

Yep but in Oot a seed was left by the deku tree which is probably the one we see in WW.

Deku tree:

"But I am growing old ... my time is almost up"

Something along those lines he says in WW if you go talk to him quite far into the game. So I'm guessing he's not immortal, although he's always been really old, and he died in OOT.

What I don't get is that Ruto was in the earth temple and Makar was in the wind temple but isn't Ruto suited more for the Wind Temple and isn't Makar more suited for the Earth Temple?

But, they went to the Wind And Earth temples, not the Forest and thingwy temples.
