These are my reasons for buying a GAMECUBE. All of the listed games are onew that I REALLY want.

The thing is, most of the games on my 'must have' list are GAMECUBE only games, I have to have a GAMECUBE to play them.

My second list features some multiplatform titles, which I could also get on the PS2 or Xbox, but those consoles just don't have more than half a dozen games that would make it on to my 'must have' list that won't also be on the 'CUBE.

So that's why the GAMECUBE is the one for me, it's the exclusive games.

I urge everyone else to list 10 (or so) must have games, and 10 (or so) might get games, coming to a console of their choice in the next couple of years.

I have 180mb odd of videos on my HDD and to me they look absolutely great. I am going to be buying it launch day unless i can't get hold of one.

no offence but i don't like many of the ps2 games.

To be fair, looking down that list there is little in the way of games for that system which would make me decide to buy it over any other. Pikmin being the only one, there are some very good Sega games there, but many good Sega games will also be on other consoles, and I already have a DC.

This is obviously personal opinion, so I don't want people coming over and shouting in my ear, but I feel that there is much more to be missed by not owning a PS2. Metal Gear Solid 2, Final Fantasy X, Kindom Hearts (another Square RPG but it is in conjunction with Disney, and Mickey an co. are very much present, possibly the single most exciting game ever too be produced), ICO, and the outstanding Pro Evo Soccer.

The PS2 has a few platform games, but I wouldn't hesitate to say that Nintendo are the kings of this genre, but it isn't a genre which would make me jump into a shop and buy that console. Most have the other games have a similar game (some better, some not) for the PS2, but from the games I mentioned above, Nintendo doesn't really have anything of their quality and potential on the cards at the moment.

If we look at the other PS2 games, even as soon as Grand Theft Auto 3 in two weeks time, in the PS2 I have a console with games which I would like to buy, obviously other people will feel the same way about the Xbox and Gamecube. I hope this thread doesn't turn into another mine's better than yours topic, we can for once have a decent discussion without all the glorified mud slinging.

well I'll get my console the same day Resident Evil is released then buy these, Resident Evil, 2,3,CV and finally 4 which by the way has been delayed due to difficulties, easy to program for my buttcheeks :-)

Then i guess these to make more use of my personal paper weight, Perfect Dark, Eternal Darkness, Sonic 2, Phantasy Star online :-)

How could you put Wave race and Super Smash Bros. Melle on the maybee list?

SSX Tricky - because I might get it for my PS2.

Donkey Kong Racing - Haven't seen or heard much about this comical title, yet it's a RARE game - it's bound to be great! :>)

Resident Evil - any one of the games I might get, because of the classy reputation they have...
