I've just signed up to XBL and have RTCW and motoGP2. My connection was activated monday night and yesterday was my first taste of XBL.
First off was motoGP2, after some good reviews from this site, well, I hope it gets better......I was a little nervous to talk at first but after hearing constant rants and the likes of 'F***,F***,F***,F***' all the time I got a little pee'd to say the least. Does it get any better??
I then had a bash at RTCW, now I havent completed the game offline yet so i dont know many of the maps or the different game objectives but at least it was a laugh and mainly fun, apart from the LAG. I was hoping to get away from the 56k online game laggishness....but have seen it lurking within the Castle walls......so much for ADSL!!

So, someone please enlighten me.......

Exactly. When it comes to games the rules and laws are different.

As we are exposing our secret gaming fits of Rage once I killed my friend coz he beat me in Tekken 3, I then gave him the old fork in the eye and baet him to death with the Playstation.

Looking back I proably went to far. But we can't be held responcible, right Biggles. :P

Heh!

Every single one of these stories I can relate to. I cracked one of my PS2 controllers because I bet the handle so hard that it cracked and half of the bottom came away. I had tooth ache for absolutley ages.

Well it isn't that we are violent and irrational, it's just it can be really frustrating when you nearly complete a level or race only to fail right at the end. And if it happens again and again and again it gets really annoying.

I actually bite my hand as hard as I can because I know if I stand up I will just smack the wall as hard as I can. Last time I did that I split the skin open between my little finger and I was in a lot of pain. Had to have a few paracetamols and I couldn't put my hand around the controll for a few days.

LOL wow should I stand back form you guys? I must be a more patinet gamer then, I swear like a mad man but I have never broken anything.

I HAVE however threw the controller about(god bless those inline release thingys :P), I punch the armchair alot, soemtimes my leg, and sometimes punch myself in the haed. The best one was when I smacked my head so hard I bruised myself. My mates were all like "hey howed you hurt your jaw?" and I replied "I was playing Amped" :)

I used to throw things too. Broke half a dozen N64 controllers.

And glasses. So I now have a nice plastic pint glass.

One time I managed to throw a Mars bar through a door. Very thin plywood type door.
