Soldiers deaths in Iraq a "misunderstanding"
Chris Evans loses Virgin Radio lawsuit
Music industry to hunt Web song swappers
More food for Tania as housemates win task

These are the main four news headlines as taken from Yahoo. Sod the Iraq situation: I want to know that someone I don't know or ever want to know has got more food because of other people I don't know or ever want to know.

I don't consider anything that occurs on a game show as news, unless it is a cheating scandal or fixing allegations are being made.

Well... buy a broad sheet then. The Times and the Financial Times. Don't get better than that.

That is all fair and well, but a lot of the users on here are under 18 and hence don't have the credit card or debit card to order online. Most people still get their CDs when they go into town with their mates on a Saturday afternoon. Prices in places like HMV and Virgin are too high. Hence sales are falling due to price.

I guess "how" should be "who", and he's probably referring to Page 3, which is about the only reason the Sun sells, along with being one of the most terrible example of newspapers in print in the UK alongside the Mirror.

Where do you buy albums from ? 15-20 quid a time ? I but all mine online from either Play, Amazon.com Marketplace and eBay and never pay more than about £10 including shipping.

Only time I've deviated from that is on anime japanese soundtrack imports, some of which come in as high as £30.

The news sucks.

If you read the Sun, Mirror, Star etc etc it is all about David Beckham, Jordan and Gari Halliwell.

Below is an extract of something I wrote here before:

What is News?

For my source of news I go to read a newspaper, the title evidently suggests that it contains ‘news’. I classify news as important events in the world, on a national or global scale, that are likely to affect my life in some way. I am talking about intense coverage of wars and informing me what is happening and why, not that 100 soldiers wife’s got their baps out for a fundraiser. I want to read what my government is doing with the country in which I live, not see poorly drawn sketches of John Prescott eating an oversized hamburger. I want to read the truth, not a commercialised, propaganda-riddled fiction disguised as news. I couldn’t care less about David Beckham’s news socks or the fact Leonardo DiCaprio went for two dumps during the Grammies. This isn’t news; this is useless rubbish that nobody needs to know! Tabloids are, in short, a toned-down version of Hello magazine, with pixelated pictures and stories that could only possibly entertain lovesick housewives.
