Whe I got this admittedly oldish PC it had a problem with the graphics card drivers. They are sorted now. But it meant that I put away all my old PC games. So this summer I am going to try to play some of those games.

See I was thinking what game I would get next. I thought Brute Force, Burnout 2, Morrowind.

But to be honest, I have probably 100's of hours worth of gaming right here unplayed.

Red Alert to finish (got it whe I renewed my SR membership)
Sim City 3000 to install and play.
Civilization: Call To Power to install and play (this game was £2.99 in EB, I had a £2.50 voucher for EB meaning that I got it for 49p, boxed brand new.)
Gangsters which I bought but never got to run. Should work now.
Starfleet Academy
Star Trek Generations
Star Trek The Next Generation: A Final Unity
Star Trek 25th Anniversary
The Lost Files Of Sherlock Holmes: Case Of The Rose Tattoo
Flying Corps
Flight Simulator 98

It was just there that it struck me how much in the way of gaming I am missing out on. I would probably have forgotten all about those games and never played them. Sure I played bits here and there of some of them, but all are uncompleted. Only downside is that I need to mess about with DOS for a couple of the Star Trek ones.

Anyone else got any of these games and wants to commetn on them?

Am I the only person to have lots of old PC games that have never been finished? If not then I suggest that instead of going out and buying
a new game just for the sake of it like I was going to with Burnout that you go and play some of the old PC classics.

There is no real point to this post I suppose.

Well, maybe they have then, but even if I put them back in, I doubt I could see it.

I've heard that Generals is the best yet- it's real 3D, instead of the pictures used, in the earilier games (And Age of Empires games, to add to that) and has some great missions. However, I haven't got it yet.

I love Red Alert. I thought I might not like it as much as teh first C & C which I thought was fanbloomingtastic by the way, but it is as good. Dead heat. Have to get Tib Sun , RA2 and Generals now to compare...

Demon! RA is, simply put, one of the best games in history. If you don't see that, your eyes must have fallen out.

Having not even opened it yet, how do you finish it? Do you have objectives to meet like have X amount of money or what?

Sim City 3000 is a fantastic game, so relaxing and mellow (especially if you use a cheat for extra cash, if you don't it's bloody difficult to balance the books and have fun playing).
Being a big Sim City fan who enjoyed the first one on the SNES, Sim City 2000 on the PSone, Sim City 3000 and Sim City 4, I have to say that I actually prefer 3000 to the latest one.
It's the sort of game that can last for a very long time, and when you're into it you become really immersed.

Gangsters is a very good game. I've reinstalled it so many times, it can take a little getting into, but it's good fun after that.

Red Alert's alright too, but it can get a bit repetative.

Couldn't say anything for the Civ game, but I do have Civ III and that is also very good. If they're fairly similar, that's definately worthy of some hard disk space.
