I almost wet myself at the Xbox Doom 3 trailer. Nuff said.
Half Life 2 looks to be overtaking halo 2 in my most wanted game list. Watch the 10 minute trailer (its PC footage though) and see why. Its unbelievable.
Some of you may be gasping at my above statement. There is Halo 2 footage on the DVD, however there is only a few snippets of the 2003 E3 footage mixed in with the trailer we saw aggges ago. The footage is also pretty poor shaky cam quality and not enough to get me going gaga over. I'll wait for a DVD with the full 8 minute goodness before I go loopy.
Loads of other stuff on it too. True Crime looks hot, and Full Spectrum Warrior will be a must buy too. There is loads of other stuff I have yet to fully watch, I was mostly just skipping through it all.
The Mag, at first glance, looks packed with info, however it is fanboyish. I suggest that sensitive people like Maverick overlook the "begining of Ps2's end" article and the "regional News", which basicly just slates the GC the whole way through. A couply of sections had me laughing but again I stress I havn't realy had time to fully digest the mag.
Overall, buy it if only for the Half Life 2 and Doom 3 footage alone. This DVD truely highlights how utterly crap OXMs last issue was. Let this be a lesson to your stinky recent efforts.

Sorry, that was just a general comment; nothing to do with Xbox World. Just from reading OXM (easily the most biased of all official publications) and reading recent press releases from Microsoft, all they seem to do is try to gain ground by constantly rubbishing their opponents.
It's a tactic I don't particularly agree with. It's down right dirty.
I assumed Xbox World was the name of their regular DVD or something.

I thought we was discussing "Xbox World" magazine. An unnoficial Xbox mag.
:P

Far from it, they constanly talk about the GTA series and praise it, and talk about how the next big hit can come from anywhere.
The only thing they've said about online gaming is that they aren't ready for it.
But I don't think it's a particulary mature and professional image for the Xbox's official publication to be full of fanboy drivel.
Microsoft is'nt the only bad apple in the gaming world, as Practical Magic stated.
It does slightly annoy me, all this inter console rivalry is a load of nonsense really. But what the hey, as long as there's more than one console on the market, there's always gonna be some muppets going round spewing their crap.

So you're a sensitive type too then ? :P
Seriously, last time I looked we still had freedom of speech most places so Microsoft can say what it likes. I remember that various Nintendo people have criticised online gaming in the past, so is that not, by you and other's sensitive standards, a sla^ging off of Microsoft and Sony ?
