I almost wet myself at the Xbox Doom 3 trailer. Nuff said.
Half Life 2 looks to be overtaking halo 2 in my most wanted game list. Watch the 10 minute trailer (its PC footage though) and see why. Its unbelievable.
Some of you may be gasping at my above statement. There is Halo 2 footage on the DVD, however there is only a few snippets of the 2003 E3 footage mixed in with the trailer we saw aggges ago. The footage is also pretty poor shaky cam quality and not enough to get me going gaga over. I'll wait for a DVD with the full 8 minute goodness before I go loopy.
Loads of other stuff on it too. True Crime looks hot, and Full Spectrum Warrior will be a must buy too. There is loads of other stuff I have yet to fully watch, I was mostly just skipping through it all.
The Mag, at first glance, looks packed with info, however it is fanboyish. I suggest that sensitive people like Maverick overlook the "begining of Ps2's end" article and the "regional News", which basicly just slates the GC the whole way through. A couply of sections had me laughing but again I stress I havn't realy had time to fully digest the mag.
Overall, buy it if only for the Half Life 2 and Doom 3 footage alone. This DVD truely highlights how utterly crap OXMs last issue was. Let this be a lesson to your stinky recent efforts.
Absolutely amazed by Half-life 2 at the moment.
Hate PC gaming anyway, as much as you lot rave about mouse and keyboard controls, I hate them. Been playing Max Payne recently and can only imagine how rubbish it would be to control the game with mouse and keyboard. So ladies and gentlemen, you know were to stick 'em.
> Probably, but some of us have old PC's, in which case Xbox is the way.
Plus, seeing as the kind of PC needed to get the full potential from Half Life 2 comes in at somewhere in the region of £1000+, often with the graphics card alone costing more than the Xbox and the game combined, I should hope it does look a little better.
Me ? I'll be sticking to the Xbox, we'll get a conversion of Half Life 2 anyway, and we still have Halo and Halo 2 - for all the PC's supposed brilliance it still does not have a conversion of Halo yet, and that was first announced for the PC back in 1999...
> as then that might make it easier to control the character in the game
> you are playing on so therefore you play on the Xbox.
Sorry, the firs one was a bit mucked up at the end so heres the right version.
