big lan event at newbury racecourse. I went as a spectator but still played a 1 min tick game of planetarion, some generals (no lag! omg) and planetside which really rocks when you get into it.

Watched everyone else get totally p*ssed n fall over as well. Ah good times.

so was anyone here apart from me there?

Brummies rule!

The accent may be funny, but in my opinion it sounds friendly and warm. Unlike the scouser accent which sounds confrontational (especially when combined with the shrill, high pitched voice!)

Plus, the Essex accent is worse than the Brummie accent by far! Or whatever accent Jade from Big Brother has- that is worse too!

Yeah. The Brummie accent's comedy gold. Imagine the Star Trek intro speech being done in a heavy brummie accent. Excellent.

Lol.

The worst accent (I think) is the Brummie's one.

It's completely silly.

What's that? A cross between a Scouser and a Farmer?

You are right though; Scouse girl accents are off-putting.

On your first note though; which bar/club did you go to? I'm thinking Mathew Street...

the scouse accent is a strange thing

round here it's all

"reet mayte, fancy goin' t' pub?"
or
"aye, alright fella fancy a brew?"

I went for an excursion to the isle of wight with a load of londoners and they couldn't understand me.

damn this lazy northern dialect
