He also kicked my buttocks at multiplayer.
However, I think that it *could* be really good. I'm going to play through more of the campaign by myself tomorrow, and see how I get on.
Anyone got an tips/hints etc?
Cheers.

Flints secondary weapon kicks ass, get em to use that.

She's better for support with her primary weapon although her secondary weapon is good for melees. For an extra challenge try getting her to go into the melee uncloaked and try to take people out with her blade.

I have to admit to not using her special ability EVER.

IGN made the same mistake. Some levels require stealth. If you go charging around in every single mission: you will die. A lot.
Hawk and Flint are well-rounded characters. You can use then to scout ahead, for stealth kills, for melee mighting with the group (using the secondary weapons) or as backup to snipe enemy's whilst Brutus and Tex draw the enemy's attention.
On later levels I wished I was playing co-op as there are some sweet vantage points for Hawk and Flint to pick off enemy's (eg cliff tops and overhangs) whilst Tex and Brutus charge into the fray.
It's like Desert Storm: one character is suited to a situation and the others have to give him/her the lead and back him up.
For example, lets say you play with three friends and they choose to be Flint, Tex and Brutus. To make use of Hawk's stealth, you'd have to tell your friends to wait in hiding whilst you go foward and kill everyone. So whilst your having fun murdering helpless aliens, they're sitting behind a rock like schmucks bored out of their mind. The worst thing is, if they do go in with Hawk to help (whilst shes invisible) they end up shooting her whilst shes slashing aliens....
Meanwhile, I don't like Flint's special ability at all. Using auto-aim just plays the game for you! It takes ALL the fun out of sniping because you walk around like a moron hitting fire everytime the target focuses in.
And Hawk and Flint being the stealthy ones is RUBBISH! Why call a game Brute Force if your going to be running around in stealth mode like a bloody idiot. Both Hawk and Flint are rubbish. They should have been sorted out.
And I use Hawk and Flink just as much as Tex and Brutus. Hawk can take out a few enimies with her blade when invisable, and Flint takes out all long range targets and is great support.

Lies all lies! :D
Flint and Hawk are the stealthy ones. Both good at sniping and recon. They are also good to command the others with ans you can hang back in a fire fight and snipe most of the enemy while they're occupied.
Hawks invisibility comes in really handy when going through teleporters and into new areas where you don't know what's on the otherside.
This is only a very light summary of why these characters are good.
You can play co-opertive in 4 player...
Is it worth buying now or not really...
Is anyone else finding that they mainly stick to Tex/Brutus (or both if you play co-op)? I never really use the other characters (Flint or Hawk) because it doesn't make sense that they're weaker yet have no real advantage over the other two stronger characters......
I'm on level 17 now, and thats 10 and a half hours of gameplay(theres a clock to tell you how long you've been playing campain mode). I'm nearly done but again like Halo, differnt difficulties are there for the Elite. I tried a level on Brutal difficulty earlier and the badguys are like steel and manover out of your fire a hell of a lot. I died pretty quickly. :P
