I'll start.
In 1814 at a brewery in London a vat containing more than a million pints of beer burst, 8 people died, either by drowning or being overcome by the fumes. A few houses were crushed by the flood of beer too.
It's quite hot and burny and melting my face. Quite bright too. At least it was .. now I only see darkness.

It's cheaper because when a light is switched on, the filament's resistance is lowest, and most likely to blow, therefore hundreds of light bulbs would need replaced each week, costing several hundred dollars, whereas it's only about 50 dollars more to keep them running.
