Stay with me here, its all a bit complicated but stick with me and it should be good.

I have always had this littleÖ WellÖ. Wish. I have tried to imagine this wish but it just wasnít happening. I wanted to be able to see into other peoples minds, or even better I could switch into that person at any time.

Say if I told a joke, I could switch to my friends mind and see what he really thought, if he thought, yea that was cool, or nah, or even if he was thinking about something totally different. If I had this power I could go to, sayÖ. Beckhamís mind and feel what he felt when he swerved one of his classic free kicks in the 92nd minute to bring the game to a draw one make England finish top of their group, what a feeling that must have been. It must have been like all the best things in his life all moulded together to make a ìSuperî special moment.

What does this have the hell to do about games you say? WellÖ

ÖIn the next 20 years or more the gaming world will be so realistic you could feel, smell, touch, sense, taste the environment around you. Say, if you got shot in the leg, you would feel it, thus making you limp, or making you think you want to limp.

How good would that be?! So.. my wish, well maybe if they could merge this into a game and you could switch to another character and you would feel, smell, touch, sense and taste what they were thinking.

If you were trying toÖ mug someone, your could try something then switch to them and they could be thinking about attacking you so you would switch back and maybe threaten them more and maybe shoot them in the leg the switch back and you could feel the pain they felt.

Say driving a grand prix car at 200mph, many of us would never get the chance to feel the sense of speed. I have always wondered how much if would hurt if I fell of a hyperbike while rising around silverstone doing 200mph+ and doing a wheelie. I imagine it would hurt pretty much but if might not, like with all the protection and the such. I could feel, every bruise, cut, broken leg everything.

This could also be used for, say disabled people, if they lost their legs or something they could feel their legs again and do things they never had imagined, bungie jumping, being a pirate in the early days, playing football again or just them walking around.

This however would take oh so much planning and oh so much thinking and oh so much careful building.
In 1500 were they thinking anything even close to telly was going to be invented? No I would doubt it very much.

They would have to get this SPOT on, say if they made to much pain and the person thought they were dead, and so would their brain, causing the brain to shut down all the main organs, namely the heart.
How would they include some sort of exit switch? Would it be on like a button? Or if they felt too much pain? Or..?!!?

Imagine being able to be a RAF pilot, flying, a stealth bomber. Now how many of us do that everyday? Huh come on. What that I can seeÖ No hands upÖ yes that would be correct.

There could be games, like excitebike, oh how good would it be to ride a trails bike against other people? There could be like a life program. Say you were thinking about committing suicide, you could experience it first and watch your families reactions when they found out, That could change your mind.

There is a bad point to this mind you. If they made a life program, you could experience everything and never take any risks, or do anything new. This could be easily corrected, the programmers only put games on the market, which would be better in my view. A football game would be wicked, imagine the half time team talks.
ìYou are 5-0 down and its all your fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!î

The manager would say to you, you would feel all the emotions and all the other players would hate you.

6-5 Final score. You score a double hat-trick and now everybody loves you, now you are called goldenballs or something :o)

So in a few years we could be experiencing being a dj and making 10,000 people move and groove!!!

Thanks for your time.

I see where your coming from. Imagine the abilities in 220 years time, so far until the last 200 years there has been hardly no changed but then all of a sudden we invent computers, tv's, lasers, guns, tanks...... you name it nowadays and it can probally be done.

The possibilities will soon become endless, it remids me reading this about an English topic I had to do in year seven about making your own planet with the technology on it. All of your sort of ideas were mentioned.

That was a good post and it's a shame everyone had to SPAM in it and make a joke out of it.

No no, I meant that the console itself would offer "artificial" emotions, generated by the console itself. You know, like a sort of... thing.

Nope, but my PSone does. Aries dying is one of the most emotional moments in a videogame ever, that and when Sniper Wolf died in MGS.

I'm sure what you're describing is Sony's dream for the PS2.

Master the art of Lucid/Conscious Dreaming, and you will be able to experience these things every night whilst asleep.

Although it can prove useful for stuntmen-women in training.

Might be a good idea for "good feelings" personally having my head swiped off by a licker isn't a good idea.
