Yep another " I don't give a damn about gaming" topic.

All due to respect for you hardcore gamers out there, I know how it feels to be to the limit of being obsessed with something... me with music these days.

Anyway I've never been anything like a lot of you. I got an Atari when I was young and played games that cost £2 at " The Barras" (big crap market in Glasgow)... mainly just Sensible Soccer and only because it was raining and I was bored.

Same story since then... got a Game Gear, loved that, could take it anywhere that was boring and show off to mates. Same with PC and Playstation.

To me gaming is just an anti-boring machine and also few other things. It breaks my heart to buy a game at £30 when I know I could get three music albums for the same price and honestly get a lot more pleasure out them. So as I've got far too much on at present I don't play games a lot.

Anyway repeating myself as usual... Gaming I also feel is a great way to pass time with mates. Just fight it out on screen and great just to get through a day, its also a damn fine way to break ice with the opposite sex.

Anyway as I'm saying... as I come on here as often as I do I constantly see...

" sony r the best "

" The Gamecube has a new colour "

" Eat lead Ninties, look at this bad boy of a game "

When really to tell you the truth I don't give a damn. Just give me a reasonably priced console and games and let me pass time... yes graphics are nice but I want something that will last me for years and I enjoy.

I don't care about spec, colour, company, date releases so why don't you all (in a nice way) just shut the hell up about this bollards and just enjoy the damn things and be happy there are lots of variety of things in this day and age and also thst your sitting in a nice room, comfortable chair, music on and playing a game...

There are a lot more terrible things in the world than the fact that the Gamecube comes in purple.

Wise up.

Thanks :-)

Oh right, sorry.

Well, we could get into a debate about the manics, but you look tired and besides, we're in the wrong forum!

We'll save it for a rainy day :-)

I think that makes you my friend for life!!!!!

Yep got me there Tarrant :-)

Funnily enough the idea of this post came from an argument about music today in school.

Mates were moaning about who has best taste... we all have quite similar but with each having one the other hates mine being The Manics...

When I came to the same conclusion as this and also we all agreed we hate pop and nu-metal :-)

So yes I will agree but I find arguing about music much more fun than arguing about the spec of the PS2 ;-) although in saying that it could be other way around.

So Conclusion to both:

Enjoy them :-)

And that it is GOOD to contradict yourelf, means your are opening your mind to both views or something.

:-)

On another note I need to read half a book for English tonight... it is the worst book I have ever read... even though I love books I'm finding it hard to use my conclusion on this.

You all seem to be taking people taking this seriously a bit too seriously.

There are those people who come here who live for gaming, their lives wuoldn't be the same without it. Everyone has something like that.
SHEEPY my son, I'm sure you could debate the pros and cons of various musicians and bands into the wee hours providing you were talking to people as passionate as you are about it.

Thats what this site is for. People can convine here and debate the highs and lows of their gaming world, its kind of the whole point of a chat forum about gaming.
Yes, we enjoy gaming, yes we appreciate it. But we also enjoy coming here to air our views, here other views, chat politely about forthcoming releases and yes, debate.

Everyone, or nearly everyone enjoys a bit of a friendly argument now and again. Why shouldn't we argue? It isn't hurting anyone. People will either stick with their views regardless or choose to alter their viewpoint based on what they have learned from others.

I say keep it up! I love coming here for various reasons; sometimes for information, sometimes to let off steam (new frogger for instance), sometimes just to chat and other times to get into a huge debate about which console is best and why.

The good thing about me and my open mind is I can argue for whatever side looks like the most fun to be on.

If you don't like debates, don't join in!
However, don't ever stop complaining either! If people weren't complaing about what everyone else is doing, this place just wouldn't be the same :-)

Fair point, but what would the world be like if there weren't people saying stuff like "My consoles better than yours!" or "The Gamecubes gonna be the best!".

Oh yer! A BETTER PLACE!

good post :-)

I know I'll get eaten alive for saying this, but you can play all your CD's on a PS2 so what a choice :-D
