News of the GC's fairly successful first 4 minutes in the states sounds good, a little more positive than the relatively unspectacular japanese opening, but it does bring up a couple of questions...

It always seemed a little too soon to be making a pre-order until now. At this stage it still does, but knowing what i'm like - putting it off until it's too late to get one from the first batch to land on our shores, the questions of pre-orders get a little more prominant in the mind.

Being able to afford SR's 20 pounds deposit is never likely to be a problem, but there is so much uncertainty. No fixed release date. No fixed price. Will a pre-order give you any choice of colour? What will the launch colours be here anyway? How fast are pre-order slots going?
For that matter, when will you need to pre-order to be sure of getting one on the release date?

In reality, i'm probably a couple of months ahead of myself raising these questions... but 4 minutes... and the likelihood that if i don't raise these questions now i probably never will...

It sounds like we need someone's help here. Tony....

If you want 2 be safe, I would pre-order a gamecube.
I think I'll wait until somethings confirmed about the release date and colours before I pre-order. Knowing me, i'll probably jus wait till it comes out.
Oh well!!!

The X-Box sold out in 30 minutes compared to the 4 of the GameCube! Now that does sound good!

I just hope that there were a similar amount of Gamecubes as there were X-Boxes. Otherwise that result proves nothing.

Hay! What am I saying?

A good kick in the nuts for Microsoft!

Well done Ninty!
