If this was going to happen, there is only one-man who I think could fill Mario's stale shoes - and that's his evil, alter-ego: Wario.
He's rude, he's evil, he ISN'T Mario, Link or Kirby, and both Wario World and Wario Ware, inc. have turned-out to be 1brilliant games
What else would you need?!?
After playing Wario's long-awaited debut on a 'proper' home console, I can honestly say that I want to see more - NOW!
Why Nintendo have been avoiding making this obvious move, for so-many years, now, is something that's beyond me!
He should've made his debut back on the N64 - if not the SNES - year's ago!
And, although Wario World was made by Treasure, who's to say Nintendo wouldn't have done a good job on a platformer like no-other.
`Wario´ - The future!
> I believe his gaming debut was in Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land on
> the original Game Boy.
But we're talking about his first appearance on a home console. And Solskjær thought it was Wario World.
This wasn't his home console debut though, that's for sure.
in 'Mario and Wario'
He was on the NES, methinks, in 'Wario's Woods'
He's hardly gonna do anything for Nintendo's image.
