I blame Sony.
Can't see how forums did it though. Pocketmonkey only had very basic forums, you couldn't really do much with them, they were just little basic PHP scripts...

Yeah, it appears that some bad Freeola/Entanet stuff has happened. I had a word with the Freeola manager and he seems to think it may have something to do with people having forums on their website, as a lot more sites have gone missing, all featuring forums. Unfortunately, he didn't seem too optimistic on getting the data back, but we haven't established the cause of the problem yet.
Anyone who has had trouble with their Freeola website will be best suited either phoning Freeola Support on 0870 725 9977 or by using the online form at Freeola.com. Apologies for the mistake, we're desperately trying to figure out what went wrong and if we can fix it.

You can't rebuild what he had up there in one afternoon. He'd made his own forums!
But he'll have a backup on his PC because most people make sites offline and upload them, not by creating them using Geocities pagebuilder. It's just a sod having to upload them again.
But he's had everything deleted. I've only had a few folders deleted.
Still though, those few folders had wel over 10 meg of stuff in them. Loads of flash games, images and flash files, as well as the files for my forum I'd just uploaded.
Dialing up to upload those will take aaaaaages.

You can't rebuild what he had up there in one afternoon. He'd made his own forums!

Don't go on a psychotic rampage JUST yet, there are some possibilities...
- Freeola is down for maintainence and all sites are down right now
- Your site isn't displaying because your html is poor or you are using a lousy operating system
- Your hosting time with Freeola ran out and they chucked you
You should have a copy of all your stuff saved as it is. Can you still login to your site and take everything or has the account been shut?
If the worst comes to the worst you may have to waste an afternoon re-building the site.

If you can't get all of your stuff back, contact Freeola and ask "Wot Da Hell iz goin On!!!11" - they may have a copy of your data and stuff, if you ask nicely.
