Sony have just bought a 19% share of Square Co, who are in deep financial troubles are loosing million of dollars on the Final Fantasy film. While an exclusivity deal isn't guaranteed, Sony will have a huge amount of control in the firm.

GBA titles, in theory, could go ahead as the GBA isn't a direct competitor to Sony. However, as Nintendo pretty much insist GBA developers must game GC games too, there could be a problem. And we know Yamuchi won't bend over backwards to help Square.

Now Sony have their foot in the door there could be further stock purchases. At the end of the day though - does anyone care? The last two Fianl Fantasy games were damp squibs anyway...

Yeah, I also read that Square were going to re-release the old Final Fantasy's for the PS2.

A PS magazine said when FFX hits here Square might bring all the old ones to the PSX.

As for Nintendo Final Fantasy games, yes, there was actually 9 Nintendo FF.

er....the 9 Nintendo Final Fantasy's where the best of the bunch.
With 3 being the almighty king.
Although i have to give credit to Final Fantasy 7 which was the greatest on Playstation.(Iv'e changed my mind from 9)
