Yesterday, LucasArts announced that the Xbox version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will be available in the USA and Canada by July 16th (that's this Wednesday). It's encouraging to see the game finished, but as each individual voice in the game is in the spoken word - it may take a while to translate into all European languages.
It was also mentioned that Xbox Live functions will be available by Winter; presumably, weapons and new quests will be up for grabs. In any respect, this is great news and means we'll most probably be seeing the game on their expected UK release - August/September.
As my most anticipated Xbox title, I really want this one now. You can read the full Press Release over at:

'It may take a while to translate into european languages'
Why can't we have our version now I ask, americans speak sort of english (well I imagine in the game it is proper english, no stupid americanisms)
Why do we wait for translations into other languages that we won't use.
American and British releases should be on the same day.
This game looks the mutts. Problem is - I'm starting college in september so I probs won't have loads of time to play it.

Nope, you can alternate whenever you want. You can go in and smash someone with a lightsaber, then pause the fight, select a few force attacks for your other 2 characters to use, then go back to smashing with the lightsaber.
