I think it was a great game! Why did so many people moan about it?
I could almost even say I think it's better than Wind Waker! (Come on hail the abuse)
But it was just much more engrossing to me than Wind Waker! Probably due to the fact you didn't have to wait for half an hour all the time while waiting for Stink to sail across the blummin' ocean!
There's one thing that puzzled me about Starfox Adventures though. What were those cheat coins for? I collected a bunch of em and chucked em in the well in the maze, but never knew what they did. I also collected another couple towards the end of the game, but wasn't able to get back to the maze to throw them into the well before I reached the end of the game, thus couldn't! What do they do???
Also, throwing the ball with Tricky made him change colour, and change something about him. What???
:)
But come on!
It read like the alphabet.

No I wouldn't.
Compared to something like Banjo Kazooie or even Donkey kong 64, it was just a load of rubbish. It wasn't the slightest bit challenging, no though went into it. It was just a load of patronizing twaddle.
Take barell A to point B...then repeat the same thing over and over for the next 4 hours of gameplay...
Rubbish!

Funnily enough, it made full use of the Gamecube.
It was the fact that the Gameplay mechanics were a mess.
Fighting - Tap A and a direction for half an hour until the enemy stops blocking and slowly starts to lose health.
If the gameplay hadn't been so damn boring, the other niggling faults like rubbish story, cheesy scripting, lifeless characters, terrible voice acting and dull mundane game design might've been taken in good humour otherwise.
As it was, you'd be initially blown away by amazing graphics, only to find that by half way through it, the more you played it, the more you lost will to live.
My modest opinion anyways...
I stopped playing it for Zelda and finished Zelda...
Went back to Starfox...
What the F£$k is this!
Oh how I hated that game.
:)
The graphics are beatiful, but there's not enough variation through the game.
Certainly not a bad game, but not what we were expecting from Rare.
