any criticism of religion will be an offense and people can be prosecuted.

Religions are mind prisons. Don't let anyone or anything control your soul. True spirituality is above and beyond all the fixed beliefs and practices of "official" religion.
It's a mess.
There are laws protecting religion, as people are entitled to their beliefs - so long as they don't contravene the laws of the country you happen to be in.
They get religious holidays, too. Notice the non-christians don't work for normal pay over christmas though.
Anyone tried to crate an officially recognised religion where monday is the day of rest? I wonder how that would work out....

Thats a bit extreme and contraversial, don't you think? Just because you may be an atheist, as am I, doesn't mean you have the right to tell people what to believe in.
