After weeks of searching I finally managed to get the only copy of Skies of Arcadia Legends left in my town (or at least it seemed that way). Ever since I got my Dreamcast I have been dying to get my hands on a copy and now I have!

:)

I did have the extensive Dreamcast demo and so far it looks, feels and sounds better than the Dreamcast version. I haven't played it enough to say that the battles are better or that they have cut down the number of battles. So far I defeated the first area boss and from the opening all of the battles from the Dreamcast version were apparent.

It a fantastic game though and I am sure there is a lot more to come in the way of surprises and excellent game play. I haven't sat down and played a Cube or Xbox game in weeks so I think I will sit down and play a game properly for a few hours.

I now have Zelda, Metroid Prime, Skies of Arcadia, NBA Street 2 and some more of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance to play through and as of yet (apart from MGS2) I haven't played very much of the other games listed. Zelda I stopped playing a couple of days after getting it and I haven't been back since. Its a couple of months since I last sat down and played Metroid Prime despite settling more into it and apart from the few hours I have played NBA Street 2 I haven't been back since.

Got a few games to play through at least and hopefully I will start playing my Cube and Xbox games again!

The random battles are great fun. I enjoy building up my characters power and magic. There are a lot of them but you can always run if you are scared ;)

I haven't ran from one yet though and I don't plan to any day soon.

Sold my copy - The Random Battles were really annoying me, and having to have HUGE battles just in the middle of a passage started to bite away at my patience.

At least i have Ikaruga

Above the underground in your home town the graphics are very nice. The sun rays shine onto the screen and when the sun sets some of the effects are pretty impressive.

The graphics weren't the reason I bought the game and so far the gameplay hasn't disappointed one bit. I seem to enter endless battles with others but I am starting to enjoy the game fully now I know what is what.

That's what i'd consider to be the ugly part of the game, it gets much nicer as you progress.

Played over 2 hours 30 minutes now and I have barely touched the out set of the game. Just landed on a place called Shine Island and the story is starting to take shape.

Strangely enough you were right about the graphics improving as you go along. When you get of the ship into the underground tavern area you appreciate what a reasonable looking title it is. So far the graphics have been very nice to say that it is a failry old Dreamcast title.

Amazon just e-mailed me and said my copy's been delayed, so I hunted around and found that www.simplygames.com have some in stock for £32.99, and that includes first class delivery.

Sorted!

One of the finest games to date and they put it in short supply. Clever management...

The Dreamcast version didn't sell well at first and I believe that is why they slowed down production. Then when people realised that it was such a mint game that was getting harder to find everyone went out and grabbed every available copy of the shelves.

At first I completely forgot about SOA and I was going to pick up Burnout 2 or Brute Force for my Xbox. Then I rememebered SOA and how hard I would have slapped myself for forgetting a bout a game which I have wanted for a long time now.

I can pick up the likes of Burnout 2, Resident Evil Zero and Brute Force any time. However it looks like the GC version of SOA is going a similar way to the Dreamcast version and it would be advisable for anyone wanting to play the game to go out and pick up a copy now. As the days move on it is becoming harder to find.
