I'm just wondering if it's any good or not, I've heard it's supposed to be very difficult and very detailed when it comes to setting up your vehicle for qualifying and races. It sounds like it would be a fantastic challenge and a lot more involving than most other racers out there.
So what are your opinions on it, is it worth a shot?

I actually thought exactly the same thing.
Just found it better to play...

Not at all - the GameCube version is slightly superior, but the PS2 and Xbox ones are tied.

It has fifteen less crash junctions.

Turok 4 was an all round 'oh dear'.

Smuggler's Run: Warzones was a GameCube exclusive title.

It was made a passable purchase by the reduced price.

Usually yes, but not by a long shot.

At the end of the day, I think they are.

TS2 on PS2 is apparently really poor. Good on the other systems though.
Burnout 2 is apparently poor on PS2.
Turok 4 on PS2... apparently a big 'oh dear'.
Smugglers run benefitted a lot from it's GC specific modes.
State of Emergency was made a passable purchase by inclusion of multiplayer mode on the Xbox.
Conclusion:
PS2 version are usually inferior to the other two system versions if they aren't direct ports.
Console extras aren't always to be sniffed at.
Also I'd trust a few internet reviews over GamesTM.

I think I'll trust the people who have actually played the game, thanks.
Admittedly, it was the PS2 version reviewed - but you're not going to get much better than 2/10 with a few cross format extras, are you?
They recommended F1 2002 instead.
> Oh my God, does it get any ~more~ boring!?!
Yes, Gran Turismo 3 ;)
Which looks pathetically boring.
And having to set your car up?
Oh my God, does it get any ~more~ boring!?!
The average review score is 73% from 12 reviews but I only believe that you can race around oval tracks. Make of that what you will.
