So what are Ninty up to? First they give all their big named games away to other developers. "Ok" I say, "they'll have more time to make some great games... all the Zeldas and Marios." But come on! What games are Ninty actually making? They have Zelda... in cartoon form. Sure it will be great fun, but it's simply not going to shift consoles, or create anywhere near as much hype as Zelda OTT.
Then there's the muted Mario. No Mario game at launch and little to be impressed by at Spaceworld. For God's sake- it was ninty's chance to show the world what they have up their sleaves... and they seemed a bit empty!
Even the games that were given to other developers to make aren't going great. Shigsy openly admitted at a press conference that Metroid is so bad that he refuses to show any more than 8 seconds of the game! There is no sound, no playable code... nothing!
And by means of proof for Ninty not doing enough... take the completely drab Japanese launch! Not much hype, low sales and no queues outside shops!
Ninty really should do better at the Western launch!
MacDonalds are by far the most popular but Burger King serves the nicer food.

Purely statistical stuff. No room for bias in these facts.
I've heard of a "double post", but this has to be the first "single + a half post"...
There were some Nintendo club bars where they could play Nintendo games in some Nightclub with Playboy models.
(Trying to appeal to the "adult" market).
They also had model women walking around with a Gamecube or a GBA in order to let people try the machines.
It seems to have worked a treat though.
ToyRUs.com and Amazon were selling Gamecubes online.
They sold out within four minutes from when the machine was available.
That even pales the Xbox's impressive half hour.
Also, the Gamecube and Xbox look close in figures.
The Xbox launchs a week earlier but with 300,000 units compared to the Gamecubes 700,000...
However, Microsoft are supplying a further 100,000 every few weeks or so by christmas, it should be even.
Gamecube might not do a "Dreamcast" after all...

I got it from the magazine!
The sales of the GC weren't GBA or even PS2 bearing but it beat their predictions and sales aims and after the economic recession going on over there what do you expect!
Metroid is being sorted according to Shigsy in fact he liked where it was heading he just doesn't think it is ready!!!!!!!!!
