Why would i say that? Well, for starters, the adverts they have made. Can they really rely on them selling PS2's? They show none of the consoles power and none of there good games. The ads really dont show people that are not really into gameing why they should buy a PS2, to me, many people may get the impression that Sony are not taking gaming serioulsy. Do they expect them to work, or are they planning on the big price reduction to sell them.

And speaking on the new price, are Sony really selling enough PS2's for such a big cut? If so, there doing something right.

There is no doubt that the adverts are funny, there also flaming strange. Either there advertising expert is extremly clever or deranged. :)

Also, i think your right that the "adverts" like the GT3 ones will start more nearer to the build up to christmas.

The real avertising blitz will come in the run up to Christmas.

As for the content of the current ads... I love 'em!

Remember, the 'Conquered Worlds' advert for PS1 was one of the most successful campaigns ever, and didn't show a single second of game footage.

Most people with a TV will already know exactly what PS2 is, and the only purpose these adverts serve is to give a gentle reminder, and - hopefully - make people think "What the ... ?" and peak their curiosity, making them more interested.

On a pschological level, they're pretty clever - they subtley tempt people, rather than slapping them in the face and shouting "look at me!". I suppose the face-slapping will start at the end of November/beginning of December.

I read somewhere that the PS2 sales were going so smoothly that there was little point in advertising, I think the new adverts are to boost sales even more now the price has come down.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
LOVE it....
You have made it so easy to build & host a website!!!
