The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Aren't they meant to be a collection of ideas rather than chatting places.
The regulars normally treat them right, and the more sensible newbies do but many newbies who don't know the site so well do mess them up a bit.
I'm thinking that they should probably go the same way as Prime and be made so that only Regulars/Notables can post.
I understand that some newbies do wish to use them properly but I'm sure they can make do by putting ideas and stories in FoG chat until they attain a purple name.
That's my thoughts on the situation.
What does everyone else think?
Actually, yeah, I agree with everything.
Personally, I think that there should be two knew forums in the "creative suite".
The stories and Game idea's will be linked by the "creativity bridge".
Topics will only be postable by regulars but newbies will be able to read, comment and learn.
Retro should be tagged onto FoG somehow, like another bridge or something.
Thoughts?
It'll should like Prime.
Newbies will be able to read and comment on regular stories/game ideas so they get an idea of what's expected.
Once they get to know the unwritten laws of the forum as a regular, they'll know what's acceptable and what's not.
As for the retro forum, I think that it should be merged with the future of gaming rather than game ideas.
But, hey, look who's talking? I think we should have a Notable and invited regulars forum. :D
