why do games come out on platinum. theyre more expensive, no different and to me seem to be a way of reintroducing the game for more money.

yes. so the fact that i can buy a game (a new original one) for two pounds cheaper than the platinum version makes sence does it. prices drop over time. why dont they just tag a sticker on?
They're cheaper. First they come out at £39,99, and then Platinum re-releases them at £19.99 if they sell well.
Plus, many people only want it when it's cheaper, or they don't have the money to buy it at full price at launch.
I think it's a great idea.
