look i own chickens and they are always flying into beams in their shed.

The egg. All things in the world evolve, acording to darwins theory of evolution. The spicies that we call the chicken would have evolved from another bird which laid eggs. Meaning that the egg came before the chicken.

Also dinosaurs laid eggs so they were there before the chickens.
