The newest ones are 1Ghz, 128mb, 16Gb Hdd, thats about £1500, maybe less, your laptop must be old.

I had one for sale a few weeks ago,

266Mhz, 64mb ram, I think it had about 3.2Gb Hdd for £300, it had win 95 but could be upgraded, it was in top condition and was about £300.

I can have a look out for you but I don't see many of them around, cheap laptops are hard to find.

If you want a DECENT HardWare u r gonna have to go up to £1000 I think, my one is P3 700mghx with 11.2 gigs and 120.0mb.

And that was nearly £2000!!

As Bonus said, for sub £500 you are looking second hand and I would acvise to stay well clear of s/h laptops. What you need to ask yourself is do you need a laptop or can you mange with a Palmtop ie Psion? If not I'd get some exta cash and buy a new Laptop for about £700 (bgtet one).

Second hand, a few years old, if you are lucky, maybe an auctions website??
