I just scored myself a copy of this classic from Ebay at £5.


Is it good game?

I didn't like empire earth. It was way too many ages and you would be dead or have won long before you even made it half-way.

Age Of Empires 2 is brilliant.

The whole series is great.

But then different developers went and copied the whole idea and called it Empire Earth, which is better than all of them.

But yeah, all the AOE games are class!

AOE is high on my not-tolerant list, and i can hardly bear to play it at all. but rise of nations, however is completely different - i actually like it.

and yeah, homeworld is good but that's a totally different kind of game. though i grow tired of HW 1, HW2 is soon to cast it's shadow on us, and that is something i anticipate with great anxiety...

besides, it looks sweet...

Yeah I didn't like AOM either.

I enjoyed AOE 2 online with mates, but Age of Myth was just silly..

Wasn't the "step up" from aoe, age of mythology?

AoE II is very good, only Starcraft imo is significantly better

Bit bored of strategy.. but homeworld is pretty class.

However unrelated it may be:


Age of Wonders > Age of Empires

Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings. That game is a classic. Pure Class. Great online, I used to play it over Zone for 2 yrs, oh well.
