I wonder why Sony didn't want it released?
Maybe because it isn't a dire Movie-based license game like Enter the Matrix or Charlie's Angels.
Ah well, at least the PAL market gets to play it.
Nintendo could learn something there.

This is still easy mode by the way, I just can't cope with avoiding the explosions on normal mode.
If there is a Gamestation anywhere near you, they sell 2nd hand DCs for about £26. I bought myself a 2nd PAL one to go with my original Japanese. And 'Mars Matrix' would be a good shmup to track down.

If your a PayPal user, then I'd recommend getting your Japanese imports from Sum ([email protected]). He's the guy I use for ALL my Japanese imports. He lives in Japan and can get you pretty much any Japanese title that your after (depending on availablity of course). His prices are very fair, he ships the goods quickly and there is NO customs charges to worry about either.
For example. He picked up two copies of F-Zero GX for me on Japanese release date, sent them the same day via EMS shipping and they arrived on the Monday. Terrific service.
However, if it's a website your prefer to use, then http://www.play-asia.com are safe bet. BUT, expect to get whacked with customs if you use these, since they won't mark the packages down and you could end up paying an extra £15-£20 on top.
Where did you get your games by the way ?

I can't say that I've really played an R-Type game before Final, so I don't think I'm educated enough to comment, but I quite enjoy the challenge it provides.
