New trick moves, such as Zidane’s 360 turn which can be performed by anyone, the fakies are still in there with more variations and a sort of over-head flick, these Moves can be seen here http://www.newstarsoccer.com/html/we7_master_class.htm . They can be performed using the analogue stick, but don’t fret, manual pass is still there.
A “Liberio Grande” mode has now been implemented, where you choose to be 1 person of the team, a lot of fun apparently.
The “Enemy” AI can evolve, supposedly meaning that it’ll learn how you play.
80% of the animations have been re-done, so you don’t hit a 30-yard screamer the same as you hit a tap in.
The referee now plays advantage, when this happens there is a little icon of a ref with his hands down signalling the advantage. But the home/away will affect the ref’s decisions.
No more “Oranges001” fake names will now be used.
Now there’s a WE Shop (Likely to be re-named PE Shop) where you can buy stadiums, hair-styles, more options for edit mode, faster gameplay, the Adidas Tricolor ball which will most likely be removed due to the WE= Adidas and PES= Umbro
4 teams have been licensed, AC Milan, Parma, Lazio and Roma, it is yet to be knows whether these will be carried into PES3, but it is reported that Konami are chasing other teams for their kits during the wait until PES3
The crowd will leave the stadium as the game progresses if you’re doing a Sunderland. Their clothing will also change depending on the weather, the crowd noise is also much more lively, like the World Cup in Japan.
There will be 20 stadiums in total, new ones include:-
Stamford Bridge,
Stadio Delle Alpi,
Stadio Olympico,
Sapporo Dome,
Anfield
Official names and kit for South Korea (!!!)
The Master league has been redone, 64 teams divided into 4 divisions, depending on their location, theres now a player search function
Players can now get bandages for injuries on their legs and head, they also drink water to replenish energy.
New sequence before Penalties, which shows the player placing the ball on the spot, this has been seen with Roberto Baggio and Beckham
No more of that crappy shirt tugging when 2 opposion players clash.
You can name your cursor instead of P1 or P2 etc.
And Finally, crossing is harder and less accurate when performed whilst running.
After playing it I found that when 2 opposing players are running side by side, every now and then, one of them'll go down like a girl and get a fre kick.
I'd also like to stress the diabolical referee decisions, you can win the ball but if you touch the player, 50% of the time they'll get a free kick.
On the replays after a near miss /foul resulting in card/ and the first replay of a goal, it has a blurry effect as if you were looking at a comic book (Hard to explain)
The Libero Grande mode was boring, me and my brother played as England, me as owen, him as Beckham, we basically watched the game having a few touches. Not my cup of tea but I can see a load of others liking it...
What a bloody game! It's not as structured as PES2, it feels as if so many more things can happen, for example. My brother was on a run with Owen, took it to the Goal line just outside the area, crossed it in left foot, peach of a cross, Beckham was a foot away and as he went up to head it, he only glanced it and it went just wide, fantastic stuff.
Volleys! They don't occur very often but they are fantastic, finally we can hit it first time! I didnt score in a game but I did in training, Heskey set it up for Owen by holding L1 and lightly pressing Triangle he chips it up and Owen hit it on the Volley from 30 Yards out, hit the post, along the line and in off the other post.
My favourite bit in a match, England VS Austria, Heskey ran down the right opened up the defence, put in a medium cross by pressing L1 + O + O, Owen cut across the defender, he was inline with the penalty spot, he hit the ball on the bounce (Those that play football know that hitting it on the bounce makes it feel like a peach) he cannoned it goalwards only for it to hit the underside of the bar, off the line and the defender scurried it out for a corner, and the crowd as the ball hit the bar was fantastic! It looked like a real match.
I can no longer play PES2, it infuriates me to the point where I almost broke the disc.
:(
Hmmm... I may get ma PS2... Nooo! I wont give in to the Matt side
> All I want is a full Premier league
Hmmmm, not for me. I rather play the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus etc...instead of whipping someone like Wolves 20-0.
I was happy playing Pro evo 2 witout any modifications mind (i've played about 20 seasons on master league). Its all about gameplay for me, everything else is just superficial. I dunno, maybe i spent too many countless hours playing SWOS on the Amiga.
Any news whether the likes of Boca juniors and Santos will be in the game?
Angry face
:D
I played WE7 for about 8 hours today, and to sum it up... Fantastic.
Basicaly it feels more free, it feels as if you can do what you want.
England are a pretty good team yet Brazil are amazing!
BUT! The referees have become much more strict, I did about 10 tackles on my brother where I won the ball yet fouls were given, including a penalty and one which lead to a goal, angry me was.
Free kicks aren't as good now in my opinion, basically it's pot luck, get it into the middle third of the bar and hope...
I'm annoyed at konami for not releasing PES3 at the same time as WE7 (Aug 7th)
The game is already gonna be the same and they could easily of translated it whilst making WE7, slight tweaking shouldn't take 3 months, thats bull. And it's most likely gonna get delayed. Doing this made my brother to get WE7 by *cough* other *cough* means. But they also know that by delaying the release, impatient europeans will get it on import and earn them more money...
Bah!
But if you can... try and wait until PES3, if you don't have the equipment to download patches and play them then and if you're Japanese isn't the best, WAIT!
Luckily there's loads of people working on patches which'll allow people to play with english clubs in a premiership setting, with official kits and translated menus.
But now my brother has gone, and WE7 is out of my grasp for about 3 weeks
:'(
*cries.
Some people who have "sources" with people who work at konami are convinced that it's gonna be released on November 7th, this was confirmed ECTS show by someone at the PES3 bit. But I never trust Pro Evo release dates, PES got delayed, delayed and delayed, whilst PES2 was brought forward a week!
*Waits until November 7th*
2 months, 7 days, 3 hours, 22 minutes and 19 seconds to go!
That would be most enjoyable.
> Errm, I dont think so. I dont zoom in on that really. I remember one
> replay where my fella headed the ball but the ball didnt actually hit
> his head. There was about a foot gap.
telekenisis.
