I was watching an advert about HP sauce and it said 'HP makes a bacon sandwich.'
What I want to know is 'What makes a sandwich? The bread or the filling?'

Ahhhh....but you also can't have a sandwich without the filling otherwise it would just be bread on its own and wouldn't be called a sandwich.

Has to be the bread coz nice thich sliced crusty bread is just the best..although i wouldent eat it if the filling was t**d.

I think I would have to go with the bread on this one
You can stick the filling on anything even Crackers and other products that are non bread related! But the one thing that makes the sandwich is the bread. Without it, you would not get that unique texture you normally would get from bread.
My favourite sandwich (I must warn you- this will not be pleasant, you have been warned!) is Butter, Peanut Butter, Marmite, and Cheese. I love it, most people don't!

The perfect sandwich has to have bread, but also needs filling, so theres not one part!
