I went to see this film yesterday at the cinema. Cars aren’t normally my cup of tea but ‘ol IB was impressed with this film. It has the lot, everything you want- You want action -- you've got it. You want good looking girls -- you got it. You want some very powerful mean cars -- you got it. Tony- you would have to sell SR if you want one of these cars:D

The film features Brian Earl Spilner, a young guy who seemingly works at a car parts shop that supplies state of the art parts for very powerful sports cars. The customers who frequent this shop all take part in illegal racing on the streets of Los Angeles. Brian has his won mean machine and enters a race with his car on the line. One of his competitors is Dominic "Dom" Toretto, the best there is and the most feared and respected guy on the block. When the cops bust the race Brain helps Dom escape and a friendship is struck up. However Dom doesn't know that Brain is actually an undercover cop investigating a recent spate of truck hijacks in which Dom is the chief suspect.

Loyalties and trust are put on the line as Brian finds himself caught up with Dom's sister as well as having to contend with some of Dom's race friends who aren't trusting of him. At the end of the day however Brian goes through with the job he must do it fast and he must do it furious.

The cast is a force to be reckoned with- Dom is just a house, that is the best way to describe him. A very good actor and suits the role of ‘Dom’ in this film. Top performance by him. There are a few foxy females in there too, one that’s stands out is Dom’s sister- Mia Toretto. She gets some good stuff to play with and comes through with a good performance even though her role is secondary to the real plot. Dom’s girlfriend is a mean looking women to. A good performance by the cast.

The first real car race will make your hair stand on end with its sheer visceral thrills. At one point a car utilizes nitro gas to gain speed. When the button is hit the camera goes flying through the engine giving you a real boost as the flames fly out of the back. It's one of those cool effects that really enhance the pace.

Naturally this film is very loud, too loud for some but it just adds to the experience. The soundtrack is a mix of hip-hop and rock. Add to that the sound designs on the cars and you have some very bass heavy beats.

Possibly the first time I have seen a car film, and I was impressed. Fast cars zooming down the roads and 100s
MPH is just great to watch. The cars are all very tasty and very shiny. It beats my mum’s Nissan Bluebird any day. If you’re a fan of fast cars- then I don’t need to tell you to see this film, if your like me and you don’t know the difference between an engine and a exhaust- still, it’s worth a view, im sure you would be impressed. Has anyone else actually seen this film recently- give me your thoughts.

It wasn't bad. It wasn't as good Gone in 60 Seconds.....or Point Break, which they blatently ripped off completely. The story was exactly the same, the ending was exactly the same (except Vin Diesel didn't die) and they even got a guy to play Keanu Reeves' role who sounded just like him - with that stupid 'surfer dude' voice.

Mind you, I still thought it was quite good, despite the immensely boring bit in the middle where nothing happened.

And I new the story from the trailer. I hate it when trailers do that. If you go to cinema in the near future, then you'll probably see The Score trailer. DON'T WATCH IT! Cover your ears and close your eyes. It doesn't look particularly good but it's got Ed Norton and Robert De Niro in so that's enough for me to wanna see it. Anyway, it's all about breaking open a safe that ha never been robbed so what do the trailer maker people do? They show you how the safe is opened. DUMB RETARDS!!!!!!!!!
