What will be then? Your precious Mario or Star Fox??
Sorry, no cartoons or bad voice-acting for me. I'm going for the amazing game MGS2, and if the plot's anything as emotional as MGS, then it will be the best game ever. It has everything-an emotional plot, awesome stealth aspects, some great action parts (bosses mostly,) and some brilliant graphics.
:p to you.
Also, NIntendo will be making much less deficit than Sony

The machine being cheaper to make being a good thing? Dont you usually get what you pay for? :D
Both will
> make big profits on games but Nintendo's will be bigger. Why?
Because Nintendo (quoted from someone else here) take 50% of the takings from every game, so they sell less games to make the same money. Sony had loads of pople writing games for it because
a) it was cheap to do so
b) there was a massive userbase (because the games were cheaper)
Because its cheaper to make games for the PS2, companies will make more, and cos of that, more people will buy the machine, sales of games will rise, and more will be made. If Nintendo take such a huge cut, the games makers wont make their money back so easily.
This man rocks so much.

Also, Nintendo have lots of loyalists. Microsoft...don't.

Well, firstly, they make the games themself rather than taking small cuts out of other companies profits, and secondly because every Nintendo release is a major big seller.
Nearly every N64 owner bought Goldeneye, Mario 64 and Zelda.
My verdict:
PS2 will outsell the Gamecube but the Gamecube will make bigger profits!

Bollards!
:p
"Don't you dare call yourself 'IB'."
Nope. Insane Bartender was around way before you. And he was calling himself IB back then, too.
Also, Nintendo have lots of loyalists. Microsoft...don't.
Sony suddenly becomes "Mr Competitive"
With a the new price, a neat selection of GOOD games, a fully working DVD player (and other factory mess ups sorted), the PS2 finally looks to be a worthwhile buy.
If there was no Gamecube on the horizon then I'd probably get one.
Here is the choice for Sprong 2002:
A GameCube for £199, with a few good release games.
An X-Box for £299-not sure about launch titles.
OR, a PS2 for £199, AND the best game ever, Metal Gear Solid 2.
It's looking good for Sony. And who said that the pricing of the PS2 was unfair? :D
It's gonna be the same as the GC, but months before the GC comes out!

I'll stick to my PC thanks, it's far more useful, and I can play
