What's your game of the year so far? It must have been released this year.

Mine's Brute Force.

Hard for me to decide really - especially with some major titles coming over the next few months. At the moment though I think Brute Force, Panzer Dragoon Orta and Steel Battalion are definatly in the shortlist though.

Alright, fair enough.

But with an Xbox, GameCube, PS2 and PC to support, I don't play many games more than once anyway. Thus, I don't judge on replay value. Personally though, if a game has got a decent lifespan like Metroid Prime and is great fun to play all the way through, I don't think the fact that you won't play it twice is much of an issue anyway.

I'm saying that games with little replay value aren't that great. Have completed Metroid Prime, said I had when I posted about ditching my Cube.

If I had the time (like I did back in the days of N64), then I could play The Wind Waker again and enjoy it (like I did back with Ocarina of Time). There are extras the second time around, and side-quests to complete. I wish I had the time to play it again, but I doubt I will any time soon. I may start up a new file and have it on the go for the great mini games.

Metroid Prime is fantastic first time round, and that's why I like it so much. I haven't completed it yet, so I honestly don't know if I'd want to play it again - have YOU even completed it? I don't think you can judge until you have. I've had more enjoyment out of Prime than Halo, but you can't strictly compare them as they're very different games.

Don't understand why you brought that up, though.

Yup, the Live game is a world apart from the uninspired toss that is the single player game. Once you get over the fact that you can blow people's arms off and smash peoples heads open and watch as brain good seeps all over the floor, you're left with one of the crappest shooters I've ever played.

Xbox Live play is sodding excellent though.

Two games with zero replayability, unless you really do want to scan every single little thing in Metroid.... Ages ago, when you said you can't compare Halo and Metroid, well you were right, there's simply no room for comparison.
