Dark Chronical looks wicked! I havn't heard a lot about this game latly, but this is gonna be a BIG game. They say it has 100's of hours gamplay and it looks fab.
This could get a 10/10 from OPS2 magazine, in my opinion this looks better than timesplitters 2, though i'v never been a fan of timesplitters anyway.
I posted the first review for Dark Chronical even though I no nofink about the game. I just love it!!!

Hey - I just found this ancient video (yes, video, not DVD) of an E3 with Dark Cloud on it.
The final game was nothing like the video - it had him riding on a magic carpet, then on this floating islands place with loads of houses and trees everywhere - making a long river.
Then it had him in the village *can't remember it's name* - it's wooden walkways above water and tall houses - and he was jumping around.
Why'd they ditch the jumping?
Jumping is fun.

Voice talent spotted so far in Dark Chronicle:

Paul Eiding voices 'Cedric', he also did 'Colonel' from Metal Gear Solid.
Mark 'Use the Force, Luke' Hamill voicing Emperor Griffon.
Dee 'Tenchu/MGS SEAL/Wakka from Kingdom Hearts' Bradley Baker voicing King Marden.

This is a QUALITY game :)

Yeah - the game was flawed pretty badly.
Among your quibbles - the weapons broke, you never had enough money, leveling up weapons took decades, once you had a ranged-attack person the main bloke was redundant, cut-scene were too few, story pretty lame.

I could go on.
But for some reason I liked it

It was probably just Steve.

I went to get it today.

Annnddd ... no where had it.
No where.
Not anywhere.
Boo!

But they did have Skies of Arcadia, which is a worthwhile substitute.

dark cloud was good......... ...for about an hour. By the time i got to the second zone i got bored of the dungeons and switched it off.
another really bad thing about it was that you had to collect water to drink and food to eat, this just took up time which could have been used to kick bad guy's ass.
